Last time we introduced PLEX

In this post, let’s take a look at how to install PLEX in ITE2 NAS and how to access audio and video files in the NAS!
In this example, we prepared the 2-Bays NAS model: NE-201. With the built-in Windows 10 IoT Enterprise OS, NE-201 can be regarded as a convenient lightweight desktop PC and quickly get all the required programs.
So, let’s begin to enjoy the convenience of the Windows 10 OS now!
Register PLEX multimedia software Account
First, please open the browser and go to the PLEX official website. You should see the link of “Sign Up” and “Get Plex” at the bottom of website.
Follow the website guide and click “FREE Plex account” to register for a free account.
Users can choose to sign up with a Google or Facebook account, or enter their own E-mail and password to register.
Then, let’s start downloading the PLEX. PLEX has Plex Media Server and Plex Media Player two main programs. Please click on Plex Media Server and download the main program, then click install.
After completed the installation, you can find a new PLEX icon in the toolbar at the desktop. That indicate the PLEX Media Server’s main program is already in progress.
Right click on the PLEX icon and click [Open PLEX…], and it should open the browser automatically and launch the PLEX web UI interface on the browser.
You can also see the current device name on the upper left corner of the interface. (※The sample device name is ITE2NAS-319932)
PLEX multimedia software – How to switch program language
Click the Setting icon on the screen upper-right.
In the setting page, switch the language to “Taiwanese” (*1) and click “SAVE CHANGES”, the language will switch to Traditional Chinese.
After completed switching the language, click the house icon on the screen upper left corner to return Home page.
Please note that If you switch language “Chinese” in the current 3.83.1 web version, the interface language will switch to Simplified Chinese.
