Set Up ITE2 NAS Static IP in PDM

What do you need to set up static IP?

Please try to think on one situation, if you always log in to your ITE2 NAS by IP address 192.168.0.XX.

Somehow in someday, you cannot connect to your NAS by IP address anymore, but ITE2 NAS works fine like usual, what is happening?

It may cause by the reason for the network device doesn’t work, or it may be the reason that your IP address has changed.

Someone may ask, what causes the IP address changed?

It is because ITE2 NAS will use assign IP address automatically, but if device encounter network device or ITE2 NAS reboot, under these two factors, IP address may have a chance to re-assign.

To solve this problem, we only need to set up static IP for ITE2 NAS! Sounds easy, right?

Set up Static IP in PDM

Log in to PDM

First, please enter your ITE2 NAS IP address in the browser, then log in to PDM by the administrator account.

(Please note that if your ITE2 NAS IP has changed, you can find your updated ITE2 NAS IP address by PowerCloud [Scan ITE2 NAS IP] function.

Enter Network Management

Once you log in, please go to [Settings> Network Management].

Set up Static IP

Select [IP Settings] then click [OK] to start setting.

Then, click [Manual Enter IP Address] and enter the address like the following examples.

If you are using [Automatically Obtain The IP Address] at first and want to switch to [Manual Enter IP Address], the system will automatically bring in current address settings.

You can directly use those bring-in IP and DDNS address settings if you need or enter an address if you have another concerned.

= IP Setting =

IP address: please enter NAS static IP address, in this example, it should be 192.168.0.242

Subnet Mask: enter 255.255.255.0

Default Gateway: Usually in this column, please enter the router IP address, in this example, it should be 192.168.0.242

= DNS Setting =

Normally, we suggested the following address settings

Preferred DNS server: 168.95.1.1

Alternate DNS server: 8.8.8.8

Wrong address settings may encounter NAS cannot connect, if you cannot make sure which address you should enter, please ask your network manager for the correct address settings.

Static IP Settings

After we make sure all the address settings are all correct, please click [OK] then ITE2 NAS IP address will be the static IP address and won’t change anymore!
