[Windows 10 NAS] PDM File Operation

In PDM file operation, [File Management] is the function that most user usually use.

Just like file explore in Windows computer, user will do copy, cut, paste, delete and other movement to the folders or files.

In the following post, we will introduce you how to do copy, cut, paste and delete movement in PDM file management.

File Operation- Copy & Paste

First, let’s introduce how to copy and paste folders in PDM.

Select [Folder A] and click right key, then select [Copy]. Then double-click [Folder B] to get in.

In [Folder B], click right key in anywhere you like and select [Paste]. Then system will copy [Folder A] in to [Folder B] and complete all the operations.

And you can see after this copy and paste operation, the original [Folder A] will stay in the original path and has a same folder information in [Folder B].

File Operation- Cut & paste

Click right key on the [File A], then select [Cut]. Then go to [Backup] space and click right key in anywhere you like and select [Paste]. And the system will move [File A] to the [Backup] space.

Here is the movement result:

Moreover, please note that by this cut and paste operation to move the [File A] to the [Backup] space, the original path’s [File A] will disappear. It is because [File A] has been moved to [Backup] space.

File Operation- Delete

Click right key on the file or the folder you want to delete (in this demo, we will delete [File B]), then select [Delete], and it should pop up a notification message.

Please click [OK] to confirm deletion, and you should see the [File B] has been deleted.

(※ Please note that deleted file cannot be restored.)
