This post will introduce how to create a decent website by ITE2 NAS.
No matter a freelancer or a business, they all need to have a website to market themselves. But not everyone can create a decent website from nothing. But don’t worry!
Now you can create a website through ITE2 NAS and Mobirise without any challenge! Mobirise is a free visual software to create a website.
By dragging objects, the user can complete the creation quickly. Also, the user can create a beautiful website without any design knowledge.
Moreover, the website created by Mobirise supports RWD design, which can let other people read on computers, tablets, and mobile phones easily.
By Mobirise and ITE2 NAS DDNS service, users can easily publish their website to the World Wide Web. So that NAS not only can back up data but also can serve as a web server.
Sounds great, right?
Now, let’s get started to create a decent website!

If your NAS is provided to multiple people, it is recommended to store the website data in the Home folder to avoid being deleted by other users. However, due to the permission settings, the Internet Information Services (IIS) Manager needs to use the following settings for the website to be successfully accessed. Please refer to the following steps:
- On the Application Pools in the left column, right-click and select [Add Application Pool…] to add an Application Pool. After setting the name, click [OK].
Then on the Sites on the left column, right-click and select [Add Website…], set the Site name (can be customized), Physical path (please select the path of the website data you just uploaded), Hostname (please enter the DDNS you just set), other items, and additionally set the Application Pool. Please select [Select] and set the Application Pool that just added.
After complete adding, click the site you want to set, and select [Edit Permissions…] on the right.
Switch to [Security] tab and choose [Edit], then select [Add…].
In [Enter the object names to select] enter [IIS AppPool\Your Application Pool Name], click [Check Names], if the name shows to your [Application Pool Name] correctly, please click [OK].
After complete creation, please setup that group’s [Full Control] and [Modify] permission to Allow.
Click site and open [Authentication], right-click [Anonymous Authentication] and select [Edit], change settings to [Application pool identity].
After complete settings, open the browser and enter the DDNS address, then the user should be able to browse the website content.
